Experience: 1979 - Present: Signature Interests, Inc Boston, MA
President * Environmental/public health - SI, d/b/a Crystal Water System, perfected a licensed technology raising it from strictly an industrial use to a mainstream technology. SI created and ran a pilot program and study under the auspices of the Mass DPH at the Brookline Pool. The results of this test created the only alternative disinfection process to straight chlorination approved by the DPH. It later was designated as an Environmentally Preferred Product. The results of the test were published in the Journal of Environmental Health and were awarded the Millennium Editor’s Choice award for excellence in research. * Real Estate - SI developed close to $100 million of commercial and residential properties ranging from downtown office space, to suburban office, lab, R& D and warehouse properties. * Nanotechnology - SI through its subsidiary Nanotechnology Technologies, Inc., did pilot work in developing a novel theory of using restructured water to combat bacterial and viral infection.

Chief Financial Officer
Raymond Cattle CO. is a regional development company specializing in the renovation and redevelopment of architecturally significant properties.
* During my time the company was responsible for the redevelopment of two properties in downtown Boston and two properties in the Back Bay, land development in Ipswich and Gloucester, MA and operating a cattle and row crop farm in Auguata, GA. * My duties as CFO were to arrange all debt and equity financing for purchase, redevelopment, and disposition. Was also responsible for establishing construction and operating budgets for all the projects as well as manage the internal operating company. * The company working with the National Trust for Historic Preservation was instrumental in achieving a significant tax change that transformed this industry from being at a disadvantage to a preferred real estate segment. The company won numerous awards from Special Firm award from the National Trust, the Victorian Society and the American Architectural Association.
1973–1976 Touché Ross Boston, MA
Senior Accountant
At this time TR was a Big Eight public accounting firm. The Boston office had a specialty in providing auditing and high level tax strategies for privately held companies
* Served as a senior auditor conducting audits for small and medium sized companies. * My second year transferred to the tax department specializing in developing equity syndication prospectuses for real estate and energy transactions.

1972 - 1976 Moakley for Congress Boston, MA
Campaign Treasurer
This campaign was the campaign that elected the first independent candidate to Congress since Reconstruction. It was predicated on a high-risk political strategy of a life long Democrat renouncing the primary to run as an independent candidate.
* Involved in the campaign’s initial strategic plan. * Coordinated all fund raising and financial reporting obligations. * Aided in forming transition team and forming office staff.
1976 -1978 McCarthy for Congress Randolph, MA
Campaign Treasurer
Served as Campaign Treasurer for two unsuccessful campaigns for Congress in the 11th District. Duties involved:
* Involved in the campaign’s initial strategic plan * Coordinated all fund raising and financial reporting regulations
1986 Vallely for Congress Boston, MA
. Finance Chairman
Served as Finance Chairman for this congressional campaign for the Eighth Congressional District. It was a race to succeed Speaker of the House Thomas P. (“Tip”) O’Neill and was the former seat of John F. Kennedy.
* Responsible for all fund raising * Financial reporting
In addition to these senior campaign positions I also served on the Finance Committees for the following campaigns:

In addition to my business and political experience, I also served on numerous non-profit boards supplying strategic planning services.
2001-2002 Voice of the Faithful Boston, MA
Director of Development
This is a lay Catholic group that formed in response to the sexual abuse crises.
* Member of the original Steering Committee which formulated the strategic plan for the organization. * Subsequently the first Development Director. I was responsible for formulating the initial development program; securing its 501c 3 status and developing a widespread fund raising effort utilizing sophisticated Internet techniques. We were one of the first non-profits to adopt this model.
1988-2003 Ouimet Fund Weston & Norton, MA
Board Member
This is the largest golf charity in Massachusetts. In my 15 years on the board, it went from annual scholarship awards of $190,000 per year to now it offers over $1 million dollars annually.
* Served on the Scholarship committee for 10 years. * Was instrumental in developing the Black on Green caddy program at Franklin Park which resulted in substantial recruiting of minorities form the inner city neighborhoods an area previously we had no presence in at all. * Was on the Strategic Plan committee chairing the Women and Minorities subcommittee
1993 – 2000 JNB Newton Boys & Girls Club Newton, MA
Board Member
* Instrumental in developing the Club’s strategic plan. * Was involved in the search and hire of the Club’s first Development Director. * Helped negotiate the Club’s securing of the Waterworks Building form the City. * Served on the Building and Fund Raising Committees that secured the financing for the Club’s new building on Watertown St.
